Plan to Return to Practise
Good Afternoon,
As I gear up to return to practise in the coming weeks, I am reaching out to share with you plans, protocols and safety measures that are being taken to keep you and I safe before, during and after treatment.
Please read the following information thoroughly and if you’ve any questions, feel free to get in touch.
For starters, prescreening is key – if you’ve been outside of British Columbia – or even off Vancouver Island within the last 14 days – please self isolate and reschedule any appointments. If you are experiencing ANY cold or flu like symptoms, or have spent recent time with anyone who has been experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms – please self isolate and reschedule any appointments. The day prior to your appointment, as well as on the day of, please use this COVID-19 SELF-ASSESSMENT tool as a precaution.
At this time, cancelations will be allowed within the 24 hour period leading up to your appointment – with no penalty.
Prior to your appointment, a waiver must be signed acknowledging your acceptance of my conditions, your current health status and waiving any responsibility on my part regarding any complications that may arise related to COVID-19.
FACE MASKS are REQUIRED upon entry to the clinic space, this includes during your treatment. I too will be wearing a mask. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MASK, my supply is extremely limited.
Physical distancing measures MUST be adhered to by law. Please ensure that a 6 foot distance is kept between anyone else who may be present within my work space at all times. Obviously during treatment I will be within that radius, but precautions will be put in place to protect us both – including the use of PPEs by us both, upon your request.
One patient at a time will be permitted in the waiting area. If the front door is locked or if there is a car in the driveway, please wait in your vehicle until the previous patient has exited. Alternatively, you may wait in the chairs on the front porch. Please do not bring children or any other companions/dependants with you – if you can’t arrange child care, please reschedule your appointment.
SANITATION: I have always ensured that my work space has been clean and sanitary for my clients, but in these unprecedented times – I am working harder to up these cleaning protocols, which will include complete disinfection of table, face rest, oil bottles, debit machine, door knobs and bathroom (between uses).
Please note that for the time being, all heating pads, table warmer and face rest padding will be removed in order to maintain a sterile environment. As time progresses I am sure that I will be able to reintroduce these items, but for now, safety first.
Single use hand towels will be available and are to be deposited into the provided bin for daily laundering.
As always, my hands and forearms will be washed thoroughly before, between and after treatment, as well as after using the washroom. Additionally, as always, I will not touch my face, mouth or any other part of myself without then washing my hands thoroughly – common sense I know, but it had to be said.
Lastly, please be patient with me while these new protocols are implemented. It will take time to get back to a new normal and I may end up running late because of them. Rest assured you will receive your full allotted appointment time, regardless of whether or not I am running behind. Your patience and patronage is appreciated.
Please respect these new rules and remember – my clinic is also my home.
